Daniel Marcinko is a seasoned professional with a long history a Director of Public Works, most recently as the City of Snoqualmie in Washington State. Before his role at Snoqualmie, Daniel served as the Director of Public Works for the City of McHenry in Illinois, Interim Director of Public Works at the Village of Hawthorn Woods, and as Regional Construction Manager at Walgreens in Deerfield Illinois. Throughout all of these roles, Daniel gained invaluable experience as a leader of people and overseer of a number of moving parts — something that has helped Daniel to succeed in a number of other ventures outside of his career.

No doubt, Daniel has built a career that is incredibly successful, but more recently he has decided to pass the baton on and step back to spend some more time with his family and to focus on his entrepreneurial endeavors. In addition to his career, Daniel has been an avid squaredancer for over four decades. “If you look hard enough,” Daniel says with a chuckle, “You can find one of me dancing in Canada in an impromptu dance off.” Who won? Well, you’ll just have to watch the video, he says with a laugh.

In addition to this, Daniel Marcinko and his wife also rescue Alaskan Malamutes. “They’re just beautiful dogs – they almost look like bears!” His wife – who is a physical therapist – is the mother of his three kids, all of whom are currently in college pursuing career goals and passions of their own. “I’ve been incredibly grateful to have the opportunity to serve the city of Snoqualmie for as long as I did, but I’m really looking forward to spending some more time with my family and focus on some of my entrepreneur work.” This work, which Daniel Marcinko speaks of, is a series of hemp farms that him and his wife have recently begun to manage. Passionate about the medical benefits and the social impact it can have in relation to material goods and construction materials, Daniel is excited to embark on a new career journey — one that allows him to have the free time needed to take care of his extended family.

Daniel Marcinko graduated from the University of Illinois with a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering. Later, he received his Master of Business Administration from Webster University in St. Louis.
